The transportation technology area examines South Carolina aviation and principles of flight. The Clemson airplane was built by the Clemson College Aeroclub in 1928 and is believed to be the first airplane in America built by college students.






Also featured is a rubber-band- powered model plane believed to be the oldest existing in United States along with a picture of the model builder, Hooks Johnston, Sr.
