Celebrate your child's birthday at the State Museum, where they can explore the Carolina Safari, become Mad Scientists or discover Dinosaurs with family and friends!
Let's Talk Dino!
(Appropriate for ages 3-10)
From the Stegosaurus to the Triceratops to the T-Rex, let’s talk about dinosaurs in this hands-on program in NatureSpace.
Mad Scientists!
(Appropriate for ages 3-10)
Come into our “laboratory” and get ready to conduct some safe, fun and educational science experiments in this hands-on program.
Carolina Safari!
(Appropriate for ages 3-10.)
Put on your pith helmet and get ready with your designer binoculars for an inside “safari” discovering the many animals (big and small) to be found in the museum.
Registration Required.
• Recommended for children ages 3 -10.
• The pre-registered parties are 90 minutes long and are available weekday afternoons and on weekends.
• Cost: Up to 10 children $120 ($85 for Museum members); maximum of 15 children at an extra $11 per child ($8 for Museum members). Adults are free. Please have one adult for every 5 children.
• Cancellations: Deposits will be refunded with seven days notice.
• Museum parties include: use of an activity room, ice, museum staff assistance, party-related activity and a T-shirt for the birthday child.
• Party givers provide: all food and drink, plates, cups, utensils. Lighted candles are not permitted.
• Join the Friends of the State Museum and receive the special discount.
• No decorations can be attached to walls or ceiling.
• Party favors: Birthday Bags available for purchase from the museum store. Cost is $4 per bag.
