Calling All Time Travelers!
The State Museum is preparing for an historic camp-in season. Journey back to 19th century South Carolina for an overnight adventure you won’t soon forget!

Campers will...
- See the night sky as it appeared in the 1800’s during a planetarium show in our inflatable Star Lab dome
- Make essential day-to-day supplies such as toothpaste, woven cloth, candles
- Sample period food and rations including molasses taffy, chicory “coffee,” hardtack biscuits and grits
- Play children’s games of the era such as nine-pins, jacks, bowl toss and more
And enjoy...
- Unlimited access to permanent museum galleries
- Pizza dinner and continental breakfast
- Shopping in the Museum store
