Tartan Fest

April 3, 2010
10am - 4pm

“But give me the land of the heather and the kilt, the mountain and the river,
For the blood leaps in my veins when I hear the bagpipe's strains
Scotland, dear old Scotland forever!”

The pipes will be skirling and the clans gathering as the South Carolina State Museum presents Tartan Fest, its annual celebration of Scottish heritage, on Saturday, April 3. The day will be filled with programs on Scottish castles, bagpipes, falconry and other features of Scottish life and history.  The sounds of popular Scottish music will fill the museum while lads and lassies perform Highland and country dancing.

Tartan Fest is free with regular Museum admission or membership.
