Our facilities include some of the most memorable wedding ceremony sites in South Carolina. When you use our meeting facilities, you will have the privilege of working with the event planners of South Carolina State Museum.

Palmetto Gallery
A multipurpose room that is ideal for meetings, receptions and other events for up to 250 guests. It includes audio-visual equipment and features the Phillip Simmons gate, one of the Museum’s signature artifacts. It is located on the Museum’s cultural history floor.
One of the larger event halls in Columbia, this space will accommodate up to 600 for a reception. This unique setting is available in the evenings for private receptions or during the day for public events.
Congaree Room 
Once the Columbia Mills Building’s foundry, the Congaree Room is ideal for larger receptions and events. It is included with the evening Atrium rental. Photo by Landon Jacob.
Charleston Courtyard
The Courtyard provides a beautiful setting for parties and receptions for up to 50 guests. Located on our cultural history floor, it recreates the feel of historic Charleston, South Carolina.
Red/Blue Rooms
These classrooms are available for small group meetings or may be used as breakout space for conferences. The rooms will accommodate from 20 – 40 people depending on room set-up
Vista Room Reopens Summer 2014
A multipurpose room that holds up to 200 in a variety of seating styles for conferences, meals or receptions. It is equipped with up-to-date audiovisual equipment. The kitchen is adjacent to the room.
Auditorium Reopens Summer 2014
An impressive location for large groups, the auditorium holds up to 236 people. Equipped with stadium seating and world-class audiovisual capabilities this room is ideal for high-impact presentations
Crescent Cafe Reopens Summer 2014
The Cafe can be rented for additional seating during your evening event.
Education Hallway Reopens Summer 2014
The Education Hallway is an attractive setting for small receptions.
