Matt Joy is our Director of Information Technology. As a member of the Administrative Services Team, Matt directs the Information Technology team and is responsible for daily and strategic IT operations supporting staff, exhibits, classrooms, and visitor-facing technology. This includes providing leadership for infrastructure projects, cybersecurity initiatives, and help-desk operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology across all museum facilities.
Matt holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of South Carolina and an MBA in IT Management from the University of Phoenix. He worked as a Director of IT/Operations at the University of South Carolina - College of Education for approximately 10 years.
