Melanie Huggins is the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to
Midlands. A transformational leader with more than 30 years of experience in public libraries, including serving as Executive Director of Richland Library, she is known for her commitment to equity, community engagement, and empowering girls and young women. Melanie is a Liberty Fellow and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, a recipient of the Stephen G. Morrison Visionary Award, and a member of Columbia Business Monthly's 50 Most Influential People Hall of Fame. Since joining Girl Scouts as CEO in January 2025, she has focused on expanding opportunities that inspire the next generation of confident, courageous, and world-changing leaders across South Carolina.
