The State Museum invites you to Flock Fest, a special event featuring hands-on activities, gallery tours, birding opportunities and programs presented in partnership with organizations from across the state.
- Participate in a gallery tour of the new exhibition, South Carolina Wings of Wonder
- Explore the new exhibition, Bird Photographer of the Year
- Enjoy a live "Raptor Experience" from the Aviation Conservation Center and witness the power and beauty of birds firsthand.
- Join the statewide iNaturalist birding challenge
- Learn about bird photography in a special presentation
- Interact with partners to discover opportunities for birding and other outdoor activities in your community
- Discover birding items available in the "Library of Things" from Richland County Library
Plus, food truck(s) will be on site for lunch and snacks!

11:15 a.m. | Dinosaur & Bird Connections presentation with SCSM Natural History Curator, Dr. Scott Persons
12 p.m. | South Carolina Wings of Wonder tour led by Dr. Scott Persons
1 p.m. | Presentation by Jennifer Tyrrell of Audubon
2 p.m. | Bird Photography presentation by Don Wuori of CNPA
3 p.m. | Live Raptor experience with Avian Conservation Center
