State Museum Foundation

Supporting the mission of the mission of the State Museum for more than 35 years.

The mission of the South Carolina Museum Foundation is to support and promote the purposes of the South Carolina State Museum.

In this role the Foundation will maintain an exclusively non-profit, educational and philanthropic structure. It also has an obligation to advise the Commission on Museum issues that will impact the Foundation’s ability to raise funds.

Purpose

The purpose of the South Carolina Museum Foundation is to:

  • promote the programs and welfare of the South Carolina Museum
  • promote sound educational programs and exhibits
  • give people in South Carolina an opportunity to become involved in educational efforts in the history, natural history, science and technology, and art of South Carolina.
